This 300-acre Greenville County
park is located on SC 11 (Cherokee Scenic Highway) about 31 miles (north) of
Greenville. It offers a little bit of everything including a pair of nice,
air-conditioned, 2 bedroom cabins (complete with refrigerators and microwaves).
Rates for the cabins are $275 (per 3-night stay) for the larger and $200
for the smaller cabin. Or, stay
for a week for $500 (larger cabin) or $350 (smaller cabin). Reservations required and you should get them in very early!
The park also has 25 campsites with
hookups (water and electric) and a nice restroom with hot showers. A dump station is also
available. The season starts in March and continues into November. Camp sites are $12 per
night Monday through Wednesday nights and $22 Thursday
through Sunday nights. Rate for seniors and handicapped campers is $13/night.Greenville
County residents receive 20% discount on the above prices.
The 5 acre lake allows swimming (a
life guard is usually on duty in the afternoons during the summer months), boating (you must rent
their boats - no private boats are allowed) and fishing.

Directions: Take US 25 north from Greenville to SC-11. You turn right onto the SC-11
access road and turn left onto SC-11 at the top of the hill. Continue another 2 miles to
the park entrance (on the right).
